How to Show a Quantity Discount Table on a WooCommerce Product Page (4 Plugins Compared)

Four free WooCommerce plugins that show a quantity discount table on the product page, compared on price, setup, and real limitations.

Showing customers a quantity discount table right on the product page, “buy 1 for $20, buy 5+ for $17 each, buy 10+ for $15 each,” is one of the easiest ways to push up average order value in WooCommerce. None of the WooCommerce core settings do this on their own. You need a plugin that calculates the tiers and renders the table where shoppers actually see it before they add to cart. Four free plugins do this job well, each with a different tradeoff: Tiered Pricing Table for WooCommerce, Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce, Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce, and Dynamic Pricing With Discount Rules for WooCommerce. If you just want the table to appear automatically with the least setup, start with Tiered Pricing Table for WooCommerce or Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce.

This is a narrower question than “best WooCommerce discount plugin,” which is already answered a dozen times over by general WordPress blogs covering coupons, BOGO deals, and storewide sales. A quantity discount table is a specific front end element: a visible breakdown of price per tier that updates as the customer changes the quantity field, built to encourage buying more in one order rather than coming back later. Searching for it mostly turns up plugin vendor docs and a few scattered tutorials, not a side by side comparison, which is the gap this post fills.

Quantity Discount Table Plugins Compared

Plugin Best for Price Last updated
Tiered Pricing Table for WooCommerce Automatic table, block, or dropdown display with zero shortcode setup Free, Pro from $79/year Oct 7, 2026
Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce A free quantity table plus BOGO, category, and cart-total discounts in one plugin Free, Pro from €39/year Sep 8, 2026
Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce Discounting by total cart quantity across a whole product line, not just one product Free, Pro from $59.99/year Jul 19, 2026
Dynamic Pricing With Discount Rules for WooCommerce A guided rule builder with a per-variation table out of the box Free, Pro from $49/year Sep 15, 2026

Tiered Pricing Table for WooCommerce

  • Price: Free, Pro from $79/year (single site)
  • Requires: WordPress 5.0+, PHP 7.4+
  • Last updated: October 7, 2026

Tiered Pricing Table for WooCommerce is built around one job: take a set of quantity breakpoints and render them as a table, a block, or a dropdown on the product page, live, as the customer changes the quantity. The free version handles fixed-price tiers (not percentage discounts) applied per product or per category, and it is the only one of the four here that gives you a choice of display formats out of the box instead of locking you into a single table style.

Setup happens under WooCommerce > Settings > Tiered Pricing after activation. From there you build a rule, pick which products or categories it applies to, and set the price at each quantity break. The table shows up automatically on the matching product pages with no shortcode to place and no template edit. It supports simple and variable products, so a price break can apply per variation if you need it.

The honest limit is that the free tier only does fixed prices, not percentage-based discounts, and it does not do role or customer-specific pricing. Both of those sit behind the Pro version, along with global rules that apply across the whole catalog at once and cart-level upsell prompts. If fixed quantity breaks are all you need, the free version is genuinely enough on its own.

Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce

  • Price: Free, Pro from €39/year (single site)
  • Requires: WordPress 4.4.1+, PHP 5.6+
  • Last updated: September 8, 2026

Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce (formerly Easy WooCommerce Discounts) is the broadest free toolkit of the four. The quantity pricing table is just one of its free features alongside buy-one-get-one deals, category-wide sales, cart-total discounts, and coupons that apply automatically without a code. The table itself displays automatically on the product page with a choice of pre-built visual themes, and there is a live settings preview so you see the result before saving.

After activating, setup lives under the Woo Pricing & Discounts menu rather than inside WooCommerce’s own settings screen, which is worth knowing before you go hunting for it. From there you create a bulk discount rule, set your quantity ranges and either a percentage or fixed-amount discount per range, then the table renders on its own. It can also be dropped anywhere else on the page with the [wccs_bulk_table] shortcode if you want it somewhere other than the default position.

The tradeoff is that some of the more advanced pricing logic, wholesale pricing, user-role pricing, conditional rules based on purchase history, and checkout fees, is reserved for the Pro version. For a straightforward quantity table with a few other promotional tools thrown in, the free plan covers more ground than its three competitors here.

Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce

  • Price: Free, Pro from $59.99/year (or $199 lifetime)
  • Requires: WordPress 4.4+
  • Last updated: July 19, 2026

Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce, built by WPFactory, is the one plugin here that can base a discount on total cart quantity across multiple products rather than only the quantity of a single line item. That matters if you sell variations of the same item (say, several flavors of the same product) and want a customer buying ten units across any mix of them to hit the same bulk price, not ten units of one specific variation.

You can set rules globally for the whole store or on a per-product basis, choose whether the discount is triggered by product quantity or cart quantity, and apply it as a percentage, a fixed amount, or a direct price override. It also supports role-based discount tiers for free, which neither Tiered Pricing Table nor Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing offers at no cost. Where it falls short on polish: the table is not automatic. You display it by placing the [alg_wc_ppq_table] shortcode store-wide or [alg_wc_product_ppq_table] on a specific product, which means one extra step the other plugins skip, and the vendor’s own installation docs are generic boilerplate rather than plugin-specific steps.

The real-time total price readout on the product page (showing, for example, “$180 for 20 units” as the customer adjusts the quantity field) is a genuinely useful touch the other three don’t all match, and it works even before the shortcode table is placed.

Dynamic Pricing With Discount Rules for WooCommerce

  • Price: Free, Pro from $49/year (single site, annual)
  • Requires: WordPress 4.4+, PHP 7.4+
  • Last updated: September 15, 2026

Dynamic Pricing With Discount Rules for WooCommerce, from Acowebs, leads with a setup wizard and a rule builder that walks through each option step by step, which makes it the easiest of the four to configure the first time. After activating, you go to the Pricing Rules menu (it gets its own top-level entry in the WordPress sidebar, not a WooCommerce settings tab) and click Add New Rule to set a product list, a discount type, a discount value, and a quantity range. The free version renders a pricing table on the product page, including a separate table per variation, with basic styling controls for the title text and border color.

The detail worth knowing before installing: this plugin applies its discounts through WooCommerce’s own coupon system under the hood, using what it calls virtual coupons. Its own documentation says to make sure coupon settings are enabled on the site, which could be an issue if you have deliberately disabled or restricted coupons for another reason. It is also worth knowing that stacking several ranges smoothly into one continuous tiered rule is a Pro feature. On the free version, each quantity range needs its own separate rule, which is more admin clicking for a product with many price breaks.

For stores that want a guided setup experience and don’t mind the coupon-based mechanism running in the background, this is a reasonable free starting point, particularly if you are also going to want scheduled, date-limited discounts later since that is built into the same rule form.

How to Pick the Right Quantity Discount Plugin

  1. If you want the table to appear automatically with no shortcode and no extra setup, use Tiered Pricing Table for WooCommerce.
  2. If you also want BOGO deals, category-wide sales, or auto-applied coupons alongside the quantity table, use Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce.
  3. If the discount needs to trigger off a customer’s total quantity across several product variations, not just one, use Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce.
  4. If you want a guided rule builder and are fine with the plugin running on WooCommerce’s coupon system behind the scenes, use Dynamic Pricing With Discount Rules for WooCommerce.
  5. If you expect to eventually need role-based or wholesale pricing stacked on top of quantity tiers, start with Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce, since it already includes role-based rules for free.

If none of these quite fit how your store actually prices things, that’s usually a sign the logic needs a custom rule rather than a generic plugin setting. Our WooCommerce development team builds pricing logic like this directly when an off-the-shelf plugin can’t match the exact rule a store needs.

FAQ

Does a quantity discount table slow down my WooCommerce product page?
Not noticeably for most stores. The table itself is a small block of HTML generated from a handful of price rules, and all four plugins here calculate it on page load rather than with a heavy external request. The bigger performance factor is usually how many rules and products you have configured, not the table display itself.

Can I show different discount tiers for different product categories?
Yes, in all four plugins, though the setup differs. Tiered Pricing Table, Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing, and Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts all let you scope a rule to specific categories as well as specific products. Dynamic Pricing With Discount Rules handles this through its “Product List” and category-wide discount options.

Does the table apply the discount automatically, or do I still need to do something at checkout?
All four apply the matching discount automatically once a rule is set up. The table itself is only the visual display; the actual price adjustment happens in the cart and at checkout without the customer or the store owner doing anything extra.

How is this different from WooCommerce’s built-in quantity selector?
WooCommerce’s native quantity field only lets a customer choose how many units to buy. It has no concept of tiered pricing. Without one of these plugins, selecting a higher quantity just multiplies the same unit price; it never shows or applies a lower rate for buying more.

Will these plugins work with variable products that have different sizes or colors?
Tiered Pricing Table, Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts, and Dynamic Pricing With Discount Rules all explicitly support variable products, including per-variation tables in the case of Dynamic Pricing With Discount Rules. Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing also supports variable products, though it’s worth testing your specific variation setup before launch since table behavior can vary by theme.
