CharcutBox sells gift boxes that one person buys for another, which breaks the standard add-to-cart-and-ship flow. The purchase and the delivery needed to be two separate steps, with the recipient controlling when and where their gift actually arrives.
ConicPlex built a plugin that generates a unique code per gift box order and emails it automatically to the recipient, who then redeems it to arrange delivery to their own address — keeping the buyer’s purchase and the recipient’s logistics cleanly separated. This Plugin Development project built a WordPress plugin that generates a uniquely formatted code for every gift box order and automatically emails that code to the recipient. The recipient then enters the code on the site to arrange delivery to their own chosen address, keeping the buyer and the recipient’s logistics cleanly separated.
